Albrecht Durer, The Ancient Tarot of Marseilles, Unica Zurn, and the gravestones of the Sierra Nevada Mountains
...are all ingredients in my seeings of late; and I'm still out of work and am hoping to sell these for ten bucks each in order to buy some food and wine. or at least wine... What is necessary in order to survive? The daylight is too bright for my mind's light to know, but ask me later when my eyes are closed.
Summer Art Show in San Francisco
Annie Southworth has extended to me the generous offer of my first solo art show- at her warm, friendly, red-walled, music/art venue The Rite Spot in San Francisco. It will run June 5th through August 6th. Opening Party date and time TBA. This was the first place I ever played my songs in public, and it will always have a very special place in my heart. ...working on some larger-scale drawings for the show now, as I watch the 60-foot pines out my window sway in this windy day here in Nevada City. Though the world is dark, frightening, and increasingly strange the more I see of it, it is also so simply beautiful on a day like today. I hope I can bring some of that 'pure windyness' into these new drawings.
